Scrapyard: Advanced Bookmark Manager and Page Archiver
Scrapyard is a versatile bookmarking extension for Chrome that offers advanced features for organizing and archiving web content. It serves as a modern alternative to the legacy ScrapBook add-on. With Scrapyard, users can store and manage bookmarks, page fragments, complete HTML pages, PDF documents, and take notes.
One of the standout features of Scrapyard is its ability to archive content for easy access on the Android platform when shared through a cloud service. This means that users can access their archived content on-the-go, making it a convenient tool for mobile browsing. Additionally, Scrapyard supports the import of RDF archives from the legacy ScrapBook, allowing users to seamlessly transition to this new extension.
Scrapyard offers two storage modes: filesystem and browser internal storage. In the filesystem mode, all archived content is stored inside a user-specified directory, which requires the installation of the Scrapyard backend application. On the other hand, the browser internal storage mode stores all archived content within the browser profile, eliminating the need for an additional application. However, some advanced features like the archive toolbar, RDF import, or uploading of local files are only available with the backend application.
